Selection #1
A program shaped around gestures of giving. Here, care emerges through physical acts, everyday rituals, and analog processes: touching and releasing, holding and sharing, recalling and offering. These films trace a poetics of devotion through both presence and distance—as acts of tending to the other, as analogies where embraces linger and memory pulses through matter. A visual offering of interdependence, vulnerability, and quiet resistance.

FARSI SEME
Italy, 2024, 10’ 00”, 16mm, DCP, silent, European Premiere

Arms stretched out like branches. A needle finds the vein: the red fluid runs from one being to another, expressing our fundamental interdependence, through the gesture of blood donation. In a continuous visual flow, the use of camera panning becomes a sensitive form of relational transcendence, where blood evokes both the generative and the destructive dimensions of life; facing its excessive power, we are left to experiment with alliances, resonating with everything that's alive.

THE HOUSE BY THE RIVER
France, 2023, 42’ 00”, 16mm, DCP, sound, German Premiere

The house by the river is a refuge, a family haven. Time is taken here for consolation. Here, I too am welcomed as a son. Through the day-to-day routine of working the land, setting tables and body care, I am telling a story of devotion to others and the sweetness of being together.
