Selection 2021
The Selection for 2021 comprises nearly 30 films curated in 5 programmes which reflect, at least in some measure, the diverse terrain of contemporary filmmaking practices associated with Experimental film. Each program explores dormant associations between individual films traversing formal, thematic and contextual parameters. Categories historically operating within this ecology—such as city symphony and diary films—are present along with films that demonstrate a keen political, personal and perceptual engagement with bodies, landscapes, urbanities and identities, often married to a tangible degree of sensitivity towards the medium.
